Mechanical Engineering Associate

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Mechanical Engineering Associate to join our team at TCWGlobal. As a key member of our R&D team, you will be responsible for assembling and testing engineering prototype instruments, performing testing and analysis of components and systems, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to enable the development of next-generation life science instruments.
Key Responsibilities- Mechanical Assembly and Testing: Assemble and test electro-mechanical fluidic instruments from sub-assembly through complete instrument, ensuring high-quality and accuracy.
- Engineering Documentation: Generate and release engineering documentation, including initial assembly procedures, installation instructions, test reports, and other supporting materials.
- Component Procurement and Management: Procure, track, stock, and kit instrument components, ensuring timely delivery and availability.
- Assembly Station Maintenance: Set up and maintain assembly stations, tools, test equipment, assembly fixtures, and test fixtures, ensuring optimal efficiency and productivity.
- Education: Associate's degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology or higher degree; or working towards an Engineering degree. Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Experience: 1+ years of experience in Mechanical Engineering, instrumental assembly, or related field; or college recent graduates with related degree or college students studying engineering or similar.
- Skills: Knowledge of and application of principles and theories of engineering; general understanding of instrument assembly; CAD experience, SolidWorks experience a plus; ability to assemble and disassemble instruments; ability to lift up to 40 lbs.; problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills required.
