About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team at FormFactor. As a key member of our R&D and innovation team, you will be responsible for designing, building, and testing complex mechanical systems and instruments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop mechanical systems and instruments using Solidworks and other CAD software.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement new product designs and technologies.
  • Conduct experiments and testing to validate design performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and maintain accurate documentation of designs, including detailed drawings and technical specifications.
  • Work closely with customers to understand their needs and develop solutions that meet their requirements.
  • Lead small teams and projects with autonomy, and present project updates and design reviews to upper-level management and customers.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field from an ABET-accredited school.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with a strong background in R&D and innovation.
  • Proficiency in Solidworks and other CAD software, as well as experience with mechanical drawings and GD&T.
  • Deep understanding of materials properties and manufacturing processes, with experience working with complex or high-tech manufacturing.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
