Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Living Activity Coordinator to join our dynamic team in Kensington, MD. As a key member of our community, you will be responsible for developing and implementing engaging activities that enhance the quality of life for our residents. About the Role:
- Create and implement activity programs that cater to diverse interests and abilities, ensuring a high level of resident engagement and satisfaction.
- Collaborate with our interdisciplinary team to develop personalized care plans that address the physical, emotional, and social needs of our residents.
- Develop and lead group and one-on-one activities, including arts and crafts, games, exercise classes, and outings.
- Supervise and support activities assistants in their daily tasks, providing guidance and feedback to ensure excellent service delivery.
- Maintain accurate records and reports on activity participation, attendance, and evaluations.
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with residents, families, and colleagues, fostering a culture of respect, empathy, and understanding.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or equivalent experience in a related field.
- Minimum two (2) years of experience in a senior living or home care setting, preferably in a similar role.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with people of all ages and backgrounds.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently, with strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
