About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Social Activity Coordinator for Seniors to join our team at Kensington Senior Living, LLC. As a vital member of our community, you will play a key role in developing and implementing engaging activities that enhance the lives of our residents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the Independent Living Activities Coordinator to design and coordinate activities tailored to meet the diverse interests and needs of our residents.
  • Develop and lead various activities, including one-on-one and group sessions, to promote socialization, mental stimulation, and physical well-being.
  • Assist with the creation of monthly activity calendars and ensure smooth execution of events.
  • Prepare rooms, equipment, and supplies for activities, as well as clean up afterwards.
  • Encourage resident participation and facilitate transportation to and from activities as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, activity calendars, and other documentation.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, departments, and residents.
  • Participate in training courses and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with people of all ages, maintaining a positive and energetic attitude.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills, with excellent computer proficiency.
  • Able to work effectively within a team environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to read, analyze, and interpret relevant materials.
  • High school diploma required; college education preferred, with certification as a Therapeutic Recreation Specialist or Activities Professional highly desirable.
