Job Description

We offer a competitive salary of $45,000 - $60,000 per year.

Kensington Senior Living, LLC seeks an experienced Transportation Coordinator to safely transport residents, families, and team members to locations outside of the community.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate motor vehicles authorized for transporting residents, families, and team members, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Familiarize yourself with each vehicle's operation and associated equipment, maintaining accurate logs and identifying maintenance issues promptly.
  • Show patience and courtesy when assisting residents with their transportation needs and collaborating with other drivers.
  • Ensure vehicles are kept clean and perform pre-trip safety checks, including but not limited to turn signals, brake signals, lights, windshield wipers, horn, and seat belts.
  • Develop effective navigation skills and demonstrate efficiency in reaching destinations with minimal time wastage.
  • Promote The Kensington as a positive ambassador in the community, upholding exceptional politeness and professionalism while driving.
  • Maintain a spotless driving record with no moving violations.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Excellent verbal communication skills and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work harmoniously within a team-based environment.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Proven safe driving abilities.
  • Able to safely operate vehicle lift equipment.
  • Assist residents with transfers in/out of vehicles and mobility as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Valid driver's license with no moving violations in the past 3 years.
  • Effective communication with people of all ages, maintaining a positive attitude.
  • Proficient reading and writing English, following verbal and written instructions.
  • Desirable experience in similar positions within retirement living or home-care settings.
  • Flexibility to work weekends and evenings.
  • High school diploma preferred.

Mental and Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand and walk short and long distances for extended periods.
  • Lift and/or carry objects exceeding 25 pounds.
  • Reach above, below, and at shoulder level.
  • Remain calm and composed in stressful situations.
