The ideal candidate will possess 5-8 years of relevant experience and will be responsible for overseeing critical initiatives at a government facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, execution, and management of Research and Development (R&D) projects focused on advanced detection technologies.
- Ensure comprehensive documentation of project costs, schedules, and performance metrics to facilitate the transition of technologies through various readiness levels.
- Collaborate on the creation of strategic planning documents aimed at addressing capability gaps.
- Facilitate and engage in meetings, working groups, and integrated product teams pertinent to R&D efforts.
- Maintain regular communication with the program manager from the Systems Development Directorate.
- Review and validate final contract documents and deliverables for accuracy and compliance.
- Prepare and present materials for program reviews, cost assessments, risk evaluations, and other necessary briefings.
- Occasional travel to attend meetings and develop strategic planning documents, constituting approximately 15-20% of the role.
- Proven experience in managing projects with a focus on meeting objectives related to deliverables, budget, timeline, and client satisfaction.
- Strong technical background in a scientific discipline coupled with project management expertise.
- Familiarity with requirements management and operational processes.
- Understanding of the electromagnetic spectrum.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.).
- Experience with project management tools (MS Project, Jira/Confluence, etc.).
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies.
- Experience with government contracts.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented leader capable of meeting deadlines and working independently.
- Able to manage multiple tasks and collaborate with a diverse group of stakeholders.
Bachelor's degree in a STEM-related field with 5-8 years of experience or a Master's degree with 5 years of experience.
Additional Information- Must pass a drug test.
- U.S. citizenship is required.
- Must possess a fully adjudicated U.S. Government-issued security clearance at the time of hire.
