We are seeking a skilled Endoscopy Technician to join our team at Northwestern Memorial Healthcare. As an Endoscopy Technician, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality patient care and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our endoscopy lab.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain competencies in the reprocessing of endoscopes and operating the scope washers.
- Identify and report any issues with endoscope integrity and assist in orchestrating repairs.
- Manage inventory and documentation for endoscopes and supplies.
- Ensure proper patient identification and transportation procedures are followed.
- Transport patients safely using wheelchairs or stretchers.
- Support daily schedules by expediting on-time starts and efficient turnover between procedures.
- Locate, obtain, and restock supplies and equipment as needed.
- Perform technical and manual services under the direction of physicians and nurses.
- Maintain a clean and organized environment.
- Assist nurses in preparing patients for and after procedures.
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- CPR - Basic Life Support certification.
- Bachelor of Science degree.
