Surgical Technologist

At Northwestern Medicine, we are committed to delivering exceptional patient care and fostering a positive work environment. As a Certified Surgical Technologist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient performance of surgical procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare the surgical operating suite with necessary equipment, instruments, and supplies.
• Assist with patient preparation, positioning, and draping.
• Pass instruments to the surgeon during surgery and maintain accurate inventory.
• Process specimens for delivery to the laboratory, if required.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist program.
• Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) within twelve months of hire.
• CPR – Basic Life Support.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and push/pull forces up to 50 pounds.
