Accounting Clerk I

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounting Clerk I to join our team at Montgomery County, OH. As an Accounting Clerk I, you will be responsible for performing standard accounting clerical functions to maintain accurate and complete records for all financial transactions of the Legal Division.
Key Responsibilities- Process daily financial transactions, including posting information, applying payments, and preparing appropriate paperwork.
- Prepare bills for court costs, including reviewing daily pleadings and generating bills.
- Respond to inquiries from customers, colleagues, and other constituents regarding accounting transactions.
- Maintain accurate and complete records based on standards and procedures established by the Clerk of Courts and/or the Montgomery County Auditor.
- Provide assistance to colleagues in the department when necessary.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of one (1) year of office, clerical, or accounting experience.
- Pass an Ohio BCI background check.
