Accounts Payable Clerk Job Description

Key Responsibilities:
  • Vendor Relationship Management: Establish and maintain positive relationships with assigned vendors, ensuring prompt and accurate payment processing.
  • Financial Data Analysis: Review and analyze vendor statements, identifying and resolving any discrepancies or issues.
  • ERP System Administration: Work efficiently within our centralized Accounts Payable department, utilizing our large ERP environment to process PO and non-PO documents.
  • Compliance and Regulatory Requirements: Ensure compliance with Ohio New Hire form and W-9 form requirements, obtaining necessary documentation before processing vendor documents.
  • Reporting and Analytics: Review and analyze the MA126 report daily and the PO135 report monthly, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
  • Team Collaboration: Cross-train other staff members and be cross-trained for other positions, ensuring seamless workflow and adaptability in unforeseen situations.
  • Technical Skills: Possess strong knowledge of debit/credit memo processes and functional/technical skills necessary to process invoices and resolve problems within our ERP system.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Demonstrate strong interpersonal savvy, effectively communicating with multiple levels of people possessing different skills sets.
