Job Summary

Riggs Industries is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Sales Development Representative to join our team. As a Sales Development Representative, you will be responsible for developing quotes for manufactured or sourced products for inquiries made by customers, dealers, and municipalities as well as the outside sales force.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service Orientation: Maintain a customer-centric approach to ensure exceptional service delivery.
  • Outbound Sales Calls: Make outbound follow-up calls to potential and existing customers to sell products and services.
  • Quote Development: Handle inbound sales calls to develop quotes for customers.
  • Communication Skills: Possess excellent communication skills when dealing with customers over the phone or in person.
  • Product Selection: Assist customers in choosing the most appropriate product regarding capacity and composition of material to be transported.
  • Vendor Management: Contact vendors to secure pricing on plows, spreaders, hydraulic systems, tarp systems, toolboxes, ancillary accessories, and equipment that must be sourced.
  • Delivery Coordination: Provide customers with estimated delivery dates and proactively communicate with them if unforeseen circumstances impact when the unit will be completed.
  • Change Order Process: Coordinate the change order process, make the initial determination regarding the feasibility of the requested change, calculate cost, and communicate with customers. If approved, coordinate with Engineering, Sales, and Manufacturing.
  • Unit Pickup and Delivery: Coordinate the pickup and delivery of units.
  • Health and Safety: Safely perform duties and wear required PPE when appropriate.
  • Quality Management: Observe and comply with all the provisions of the ISO 9001 QMS.
Requirements
  • Education: Associate degree (A. A.) or equivalent from a two-year College or technical school; or 2 to 5 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
