Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Administrative Assistant to provide administrative support to the Director and faculty in the School of Teacher Education and Leadership. The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall day-to-day operation of the office, providing support to faculty, staff, and students, and supervising student workers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support to the Director and faculty, including scheduling appointments, preparing correspondence, and maintaining records.
  • Manage the day-to-day operation of the office, including supervising student workers and coordinating office activities.
  • Develop and implement administrative procedures to ensure efficient and effective office operations.
  • Provide excellent customer service to faculty, staff, and students, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Collaborate with other departments and units to achieve common goals and objectives.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an administrative role, preferably in a higher education or K-12 setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Banner and eVA computer applications.
  • Knowledge of grant processes and procedures.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Teams and other collaboration tools.
