About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Qualification Specialist Lead to join our team at Apria. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our patients receive the highest level of care and service.

Your primary responsibility will be to provide excellent customer service and product information to patients and providers, while also identifying opportunities to improve our processes and procedures.

You will work closely with our field teams, operations, and sales departments to deliver timely feedback and recommendations that empower our teams to deliver exceptional patient experiences.

In this role, you will be responsible for critically problem-solving common complaints, flagging trends, and partnering cross-functionally to recommend and implement preventative measures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support hundreds of local branch offices across the country by reviewing new patient orders and documentation submitted by referral sources.
  • Request health plan authorizations/information as required, either electronically or verbally.
  • Demonstrate and develop business relationships within the field leadership through close collaboration, partnership, engagement, and communication.
  • Successfully complete qualification certification to process three (3) or more product types, including Document Qualification Process (DQP) certification.
  • Develop and implement employee programs that nurture our company's core values to engage employees and create a positive culture.
Requirements
  • High school degree or equivalent.
  • 5+ years experience in healthcare/health insurance industry.
