Job Title: Information Technology Manager

Join the Hidalgo Co. team as an Information Technology Manager, responsible for overseeing the planning, design, maintenance, and monitoring of the County's entire technology environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage multiple technology systems, related equipment, and processes.
  • Assist in monitoring database performance and execute procedures to save, retrieve, and recover databases from hardware and software failures.
  • Maintain data standards, prepare database documentation, and develop procedures and definitions for data dictionaries.
  • Assist with the installation of database software, analyzing, designing, and implementing databases.
  • Manage the County's information system, including hardware, and assess current and future data processing needs for County department users.
Requirements:
  • Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in computer science, management information systems, or a technology specialized degree.
  • Two years of experience in technology management, experience in system design and programming work, including one year in a supervisory role.
