Join DHR Health as a Health Information Management Specialist II and contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for coordinating the release of medical records in response to external audit request letters.
Key Responsibilities:- Coordinate all external payer audits to ensure proper documentation is obtained.
- Maintain all correspondence by scanning into Cerner and entering notes in Paragon.
- Compile a Reconciliation Report by communicating with the Business Office on a weekly basis.
- Assist the Director/Manager with special projects.
- Comply with all Policies and Procedures, including confidentiality of Patient Health Information.
- High school graduate/GED certificate or equivalent required.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Graduate of Health Information Management program (RHIT/RHIA) preferred.
- Computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office suite preferred.
- Good written and verbal communication skills required.
The individual spends over 95% of their time in an air-conditioned environment with varying exposures to noise.
Occupational Exposure:This position has minimal to no exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues and is an OSHA Category III.
