As a key member of our field-based team, you will be responsible for developing and enhancing professional relationships with medical thought leaders involved in various phases of product development.
Key Responsibilities- Identify and establish relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and healthcare professionals (HCPs) in the rheumatology field.
- Provide medical information and support to KOLs and HCPs through scientific exchange and presentations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local regulations and guidelines.
- Collaborate with the clinical organization to enhance patient enrollment in Bristol Myers Squibb-sponsored clinical trials by identifying suitable clinical trial sites and interacting with investigators.
- Provide recommendations and insights to the clinical development team on study and site feasibilities within the therapeutic area, based on knowledge of the field and direct contacts with potential investigators.
- Serve as a primary liaison to investigators interested in developing and performing investigator-sponsored research (ISR), facilitating support for HCPs in the ISR submission process as needed.
- Ensure that Bristol Myers Squibb pharmacovigilance procedural documents are understood and applied by investigators of local studies, and alert appropriate personnel to any identified adverse events.
- Develop and execute territory and account plans, including institution/account referral network building, and contribute to the execution of regional and national strategy.
- Provide clinical presentations and information in response to unsolicited questions in academic, community, and healthcare provider settings.
- Support medical congresses and advisory boards as needed.
- Collect and provide meaningful medical insights to support strategy development and business decisions.
- MD, PharmD, PhD, APP, PA, NP with experience in a specific disease area or a broad medical background and relevant pharmaceutical experience.
- BS degree in a scientific and/or medical discipline required; MD, DO, PharmD, MSN or PhD strongly preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of clinical or research experience in rheumatology.
- Proven ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and in cross-functional networks.
- Current working knowledge of US legal, regulatory, and compliance regulations and guidelines relevant to industry interactions with healthcare professionals.
- Ability to partner and maintain relationships within the medical community.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and time management skills.
