The ideal candidate will have a strong background in heavy diesel vehicle repair and maintenance, as well as excellent leadership and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage Maintenance Operations: Oversee the daily, weekly, monthly, and annual maintenance and repair of our fleet of vehicles, including preventative maintenance and repair of vehicles.
  • Lead Maintenance Team: Supervise and manage a team of maintenance staff, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful completion of maintenance tasks.
  • Manage Budget: Develop and manage the maintenance program budget, ensuring that all expenses are tracked and reported accurately.
  • Train and Develop Staff: Provide training and development opportunities to maintenance staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Collaborate with Fleet Manager: Work closely with the Fleet Manager to ensure the smooth operation of the maintenance program and the overall success of the company.
Requirements
  • Technical Competence: Must have technical competence with heavy diesel vehicle repair and preventative maintenance.
  • Leadership and Communication Skills: Must have excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of staff.
  • Computer Skills: Must have computer skills, including word processing, spreadsheets, and Microsoft Outlook.
  • ASE Certification: ASE certified truck or school bus preferred.
  • Diesel Experience: Diesel experience preferred.
