About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a skilled Power Systems Engineer to join RESA Power, LLC. as an Electrical Design Specialist. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support and expertise to customers regarding power system studies, power quality analysis, installation, maintenance, and repair.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough assessments of electric power systems, focusing on protection, short-circuit calculation, arc-flash hazard analysis, and design enhancements.
  • Analyze results, prepare detailed reports, proposals, and solutions to meet customer requirements.
  • Enhance electrical designs to support facility upgrades, ensuring safe, reliable, and cost-effective electrical systems.
  • Meet with customers on-site to understand their needs and provide technical support.
  • Provide cost estimates and bid proposals, taking into account customer requirements and project scope.
  • Implement electrical systems that meet or exceed industry standards and regulations.
  • Offer technical support and quality control for projects, ensuring timely completion and customer satisfaction.
  • Interpret power system wiring diagrams accurately, identifying potential issues and areas for improvement.
  • Follow electrical safety procedures, ensuring a safe working environment for all personnel.
  • Demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills and a solid grasp of electrical theory, applying this knowledge to resolve complex technical issues.
  • Communicate effectively with customers and colleagues, providing clear and concise technical information.
  • Display good judgment, organizational skills, and customer service orientation, ensuring a positive customer experience.
  • Resolve client issues by collaborating with stakeholders, identifying solutions that meet customer needs.
  • Utilize computer skills for research and project management, staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.
  • Capable of physical requirements such as climbing ladders and lifting equipment, ensuring safe and efficient work practices.
  • Flexible work hours and willingness to travel as needed, supporting customer needs and project requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory laws and industry standards, maintaining a high level of professionalism and integrity.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, supporting the team and contributing to the success of RESA Power, LLC.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience with a minimum of 3 years in the field.
  • Experience with SKM, ETAP, and Easypower Studies, with a strong understanding of power system analysis software.
  • Previous professional experience in power engineering and industrial projects, with a focus on electrical design and technical support.
  • Knowledge of power system analysis software, with the ability to design technical solutions based on customer requests.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in technical areas, with the ability to communicate complex technical information to customers and colleagues.
  • Project management skills and cost accountability, with the ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Ability to work independently on medium projects, with a strong sense of self-motivation and initiative.
  • Familiarity with industry standards like NETA, NEC, OSHA, and NFPA, with the ability to apply this knowledge to ensure compliance and quality.
  • Strong communication and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Customer-focused and detail-oriented, with a strong commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Focus on accuracy and efficiency, with the ability to identify areas for improvement and implement changes.
  • Valid driver's license for roles involving company vehicles, with a strong commitment to safety and responsible driving practices.
