MPS is in search of a Manager for our Field Applications Engineering team located in the Bay Area. This role presents a distinctive opportunity for a seasoned leader who is enthusiastic about nurturing emerging talent and collaborating with diverse teams to develop pioneering solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a team of aspiring Field Applications Engineers and interns, focusing on both technical and interpersonal development.
  • Act as a role model to inspire and guide new FAE talent in driving innovative initiatives.
  • Collaborate with academic institutions to align MPS technology with evolving educational curricula.
  • Possess a robust understanding of power management in various sectors including customer, industrial, data center/server, and telecommunications.
  • Advocate for MPS's extensive product offerings to a broad customer base.
  • Analyze customer roadmaps and technological needs for future developments.
  • Coordinate with business units on product strategies, technological investments, and planning.
  • Facilitate design wins in partnership with Sales, fostering relationships within and outside the organization.
  • Evaluate the competitive landscape and devise strategies to enhance market position.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in design, field applications engineering, or managing a sales or engineering team.
  • A strong passion for team development and mentorship.
  • Exceptional communication skills that promote a positive team environment.
  • Experience in design, engineering, or system architecture.
  • Proven problem-solving abilities, strategic thinking, and commercial acumen.
  • Self-motivated with strong analytical capabilities and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to convey complex technical concepts to a diverse audience.

Location: Bay Area
