Job Overview:

The Fixed Assets Analyst is accountable for delivering exceptional customer service, thorough analysis, and insightful reporting on fixed asset matters. This role encompasses responsibilities related to AFE closures and the management of myAFE/myBIT systems, ensuring compliance with corporate guidelines.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the AFE closure process to guarantee timely project completions.
  • Conduct AFE closures and accurately allocate costs to corresponding assets.
  • Verify that allocated values align with project and asset valuations.
  • Collaborate with Area/Project Managers to ascertain asset numbers utilized in projects.
  • Coordinate with procurement to address any discrepancies with purchase orders and invoices.
  • Assist in generating new asset numbers for AFE/Project purposes.
  • Provide training and support for AFE processes and address issues within myAFE.
  • Support areas in modifying AFEs, including budget adjustments and project manager changes.
  • Work with IT to troubleshoot myAFE issues related to the AFE closure process.
  • Research and analyze AFE costs for better financial insights.

Additional Duties:
  • Prepare reports for management and maintain documentation regarding AFE/myAFE procedures.
  • Be available for overtime as necessary to meet project deadlines.
  • Participate in special projects as required.

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:
• 2+ years of relevant experience
• Strong analytical capabilities
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and ERP data querying

Preferred Qualifications:
• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Project Management, or a related field
• Experience in the drilling or oilfield service industry
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Detail-oriented, organized, and dependable
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a self-starter attitude
• Ability to prioritize and manage workload with minimal supervision
• Team-oriented with a sense of urgency to meet deadlines
• Capable of handling large volumes of data efficiently


Physical Requirements:

The physical demands for this position include the ability to sit, talk, and hear. Frequent use of hands for handling materials and typing is required. The role also necessitates standing, walking, and reaching with hands and arms, with occasional walking over uneven terrain.
