About this Role:

Wells Fargo Bank is seeking a seasoned Technology Director to lead our Cybersecurity efforts. As a key member of our Technology team, you will be responsible for driving our cyber initiatives and mitigating risks across multiple business lines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of security professionals and provide strategic-level consultation to business, technology, and risk executives.
  • Develop and implement information security risk management guidelines and partner with stakeholders to implement key risk initiatives.
  • Drive the cyber posture within the CIO team and line of business, monitoring, reporting, and tracking cyber risks, initiatives, exceptions, and multiple areas related to the cyber posture and program.
  • Collaborate with Risk and Technology leaders and their teams on information security-related matters.
  • Develop and guide a culture of talent development to meet business objectives and strategy.
Requirements:
  • 15+ years of technology leadership experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.
  • 10+ years of management experience.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree and/or MBA from a top-rated school.
  • MBA degree with a concentration in Finance or Technology or Master's Degree in Business/Cybersecurity.
  • 1+ years of experience as Chief Information Security Officer.
  • 15+ years of leadership or management experience in a technology environment.
  • 10+ years of Cybersecurity and risk management experience.
  • 10+ years of managing managers.
  • A high level of comfort working with ambiguity or uncertainty and converting information into quantifiable concepts.
  • Strong executive presence, the ability to interact and communicate with C-level executives and regulators.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with an ability to manage numerous, competing demands from internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership and influencing skills within a complex, matrixed environment; able to gain support and cooperation and build effective business partnerships.
  • Strong ability to effectively communicate and broker agreements amongst diverse, differing, competing, and/or conflicting perspectives/priorities.
  • Finance sector security experience or other regulated industry (e.g., utilities, health care, government).
Job Expectations:
  • Travel up to 15% of the time.
