Diagnostic Imaging Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team at Neighbors Emergency Center. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for operating radiographic equipment to produce high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.
Key Responsibilities- Operate radiographic equipment to produce radiographs of the body for diagnostic purposes, as directed by the ER Physician.
- Position patients and examining tables to obtain optimum views of specified areas of the body requested by physicians.
- Practice radiation safety techniques, including the use of beam restrictive devices, patient shielding skills, and knowledge of applicable exposure factors, to maximize radiation protection to patients and staff.
- Operate CT SCAN equipment to produce Computed Tomography (CT scans) of the body for diagnostic purposes, as directed by the ER Physician.
- Administer and consent patients for contrast, while being aware of all possible reactions and side effects.
- Fulfill documentation requirements, including filling out paperwork and ensuring proper documentation in patients' charts.
- Graduate of an accredited approved school of Radiologic Technology.
- At least 1 year of radiologic/imaging experience and CT experience.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
- Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
- Current State licensure.
- Current BCLS Certification.
