Role Summary: The Instrument & Electrical Specialist is tasked with the installation, upkeep, and troubleshooting of instrumentation and electrical control systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, repair, and maintain various control system components such as transmitters, valves, and flow meters.
- Conduct testing, diagnostics, and repairs or replacements of instrumentation and control elements to ensure optimal system performance.
- Perform routine and preventative maintenance on electronic, electrical, and pneumatic systems, including work near live circuits.
- Interpret technical drawings and create preliminary sketches as necessary.
- Install conduits, pull wiring, replace motors, and maintain lighting and basic motor control systems.
- Source or fabricate replacement parts for instrumentation and electrical systems.
- Acquire necessary permits, tools, and materials for projects.
- Adhere to safety protocols, document project details, and maintain accurate records, including cost and time estimates.
- Update project and plant documentation and prepare testing reports for clients or regulatory bodies.
- Assist during plant shutdowns as needed.
Qualifications & Skills:
· Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role as an Instrument & Electrical Technician.

· This position is based in the Houston area, specifically in the Baytown vicinity.
