Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team at Neighbors Emergency Center. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for operating radiographic equipment to produce high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate radiographic equipment to produce radiographs of the body for diagnostic purposes, as directed by the ER Physician.
  • Position patients and examining tables to obtain optimum views of specified areas of the body requested by physicians.
  • Practice radiation safety techniques, including the use of beam restrictive devices, patient shielding skills, and knowledge of applicable exposure factors, to maximize radiation protection to patients and staff.
  • Operate CT SCAN equipment to produce Computed Tomography (CT scans) of the body for diagnostic purposes, as directed by the ER Physician.
  • Administer and consent patients for contrast, while being aware of all possible reactions and side effects.
  • Fulfill documentation requirements, including filling out paperwork and ensuring proper documentation in patients' charts.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited approved school of Radiologic Technology.
  • At least 1 year of radiologic/imaging experience and CT experience.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
  • Current State licensure.
  • Current BCLS Certification.
