Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at the University of New Mexico - Hospitals. As a Registered Nurse in our Psychiatric Emergency Services department, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Provide professional nursing care to patients with various cognitive, emotional, developmental, social, and behavioral disorders
- Observe patient behavior, activities, and mental status; perform triage and crisis intervention
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans; administer medication and treatment as prescribed
- Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive care and support
- Participate in education and training programs to enhance professional growth and development
- Current RN licensure in New Mexico or eligibility for reciprocal agreement
- CPR for Healthcare/BLS certification
- 1 year of direct experience in psychiatric nursing
- Bilingual English/Spanish or other languages preferred
This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a high level of patient acuity. The successful candidate will be able to work effectively in a team setting and provide excellent patient care in a variety of situations.
