Pediatric Emergency Department Nurse Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Pediatric Emergency Department Nurse to join our team at UNM Hospitals. As a key member of our nursing staff, you will provide high-quality patient care to children and families in our Pediatric Emergency Department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver safe and effective direct care to patients in the Pediatric Emergency Department
  • Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to implement and document individualized care plans
  • Participate in orientation and precepting of new personnel
  • Assist with special tests and procedures, ensuring proper consent has been obtained
  • Provide clinical leadership and assume relief charge duties when designated
Qualifications:
  • Graduate of a nationally accredited nursing program
  • CPR for Healthcare/BLS certification
  • RN licensure in New Mexico or reciprocal agreement
