Job Title: Registered Nurse

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at the University of New Mexico - Hospitals. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to a positive work environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct nursing care to assigned patients, working within the nursing process to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to implement and document individualized care plans, incorporating age-specific considerations and discharge planning.
  • Administer medication, including IV medication, via the Seven Rights, and document clinical findings.
  • Assist with special tests and procedures, ensuring proper consent has been obtained.
  • Participate in orientation and assume precepting and evaluation responsibilities of new personnel.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of a nationally accredited nursing program.
  • 2 years of directly related experience.
  • CPR for Healthcare/BLS Provider or Professional Rescuer within 30 days.
  • RN licensure in New Mexico or reciprocal agreement.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
  • Bilingual English/Keres, Tewa, Tiwa, Towa, Zuni, or Navajo.
