Agricultural Service Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Agricultural Service Manager to join our team at GPAC. As a key member of our service department, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction and service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Contract Development: Develop contracts for contractors with ongoing equipment rentals or purchase needs.
  • Service Staff Training: Train service staff on best practices in customer satisfaction and brand promotion.
  • Scheduling and Prioritization: Develop, maintain, and adhere to a priority system for scheduling all service work, both customer and internal.
  • Work Order Management: Manage work order systems, including invoice logging, and generate service invoices.
  • Warranty Claims: Ensure that all manufacturer warranty and Product Improvement Program claims are completed and filed in a timely manner according to manufacturer's requirements.
  • Employee Scheduling: Schedule and assign job and work areas to employees according to their skills and knowledge.
  • Service Equipment Maintenance: Ensure that the service department is equipped with the necessary tools and service equipment is available and maintained in good working order.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Make recommendations regarding the purchase of service vehicles, correctly maintain vehicles, and complete required maintenance records.
  • Training and Development: Coordinate dealership training program and service-related customer clinics.
  • Professional Conduct: Conduct yourself in a professional manner at all times, inside and outside the dealership.
  • Performance Metrics: Monitor metrics on a monthly basis to assure achievement of departmental goals.
Requirements:
  • Education: High School diploma/GED required (Associates/Bachelor's degree preferred)
  • Experience: 3+ years' in a Service Manager Position or background as Service Tech/Mechanic
  • Skills: Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Work Environment: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, sense of urgency, and handle people and pressure
