Overview

Novant Health is seeking a highly skilled Lead Respiratory Therapist to oversee the daily operations of the NICU Respiratory/Cardiopulmonary Department. The ideal candidate will possess excellent leadership qualities, strong communication skills, and the ability to administer comprehensive respiratory care services to patients of all ages. As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of our patients and their families.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of respiratory therapists to ensure seamless delivery of patient care.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve departmental efficiency and patient outcomes.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure effective communication and coordination of care.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to respiratory therapists to enhance their skills and knowledge.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of two years of experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist in an acute care setting.
  • Licensure/Certification: Registered by the National Board of Respiratory Care and current RCP licensure in the appropriate state.
  • Leadership skills: Proven ability to lead and motivate teams, make fair decisions, and communicate effectively.
