Job Summary

The Respiratory Therapist will be responsible for performing patient assessments, general respiratory care procedures, and critical care procedures in adult care areas. This includes blood gas analysis, maintenance and management of equipment, and patient education.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments to identify respiratory care needs.
  • Administer medication and perform advanced patient assessments as needed.
  • Ensure accurate documentation of patient care and treatment.
  • Insert, maintain, and document arterial lines per protocol.
  • Manage invasive and non-invasive mechanical ventilation.
  • Perform special procedures and safeguard patient care equipment.
  • Contribute to quality and outcomes initiatives.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • An Associate Degree in Respiratory Therapy Sciences.
  • Credentialed by the National Board for Respiratory Care as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
  • Licensed by the State of Georgia under the Composite State Board of Medical Examiners.
  • Current certifications in BCLS and ACLS.
