Job SummaryThe Respiratory Therapist will be responsible for performing patient assessments, general respiratory care procedures, and critical care procedures in adult care areas. This includes blood gas analysis, maintenance and management of equipment, and patient education.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough patient assessments to identify respiratory needs.
- Administer medication and perform advanced patient assessments as needed.
- Ensure accurate documentation and reporting of patient data.
- Insert, maintain, and document arterial lines per protocol.
- Manage invasive and non-invasive ventilation, as well as perform special procedures.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure high-quality patient care.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- An Associate Degree in Respiratory Therapy Sciences.
- Credentialed by the National Board for Respiratory Care as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
- Licensed by the State of Georgia under the Composite State Board of Medical Examiners.
- Current certifications in BCLS and ACLS.
