Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Dental Assisting Instructor to join our team at Houston Community College (HCC). As a Dental Assisting Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching and mentoring students in our Dental Assisting program, ensuring they receive a high-quality education and are prepared for a successful career in the field.

Responsibilities
  • Teach and mentor students in our Dental Assisting program, providing instruction and guidance on dental assisting techniques, procedures, and best practices.
  • Develop and implement curriculum and course materials, ensuring they are current, relevant, and meet the needs of our students.
  • Assess student learning and progress, providing feedback and support to help students achieve their academic goals.
  • Collaborate with other faculty and staff to ensure a cohesive and effective learning environment.
  • Stay current with industry developments and advancements, incorporating new knowledge and skills into your teaching and curriculum.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Dental Assisting or a related field.
  • Three years of experience in dental assisting, with a strong background in teaching and mentoring.
  • Current certification in dental assisting, such as DANB or RDA.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, faculty, and staff.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
