Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Dental Hygiene Instructor to join our team at Houston Community College. As an Adjunct Faculty member, you will be responsible for teaching dental hygiene courses and contributing to the educational environment of the college and the community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach dental hygiene courses and develop curriculum to meet the needs of students and the college.
  • Provide academic advising and support to students, including guidance on course selection and career goals.
  • Participate in departmental and college-wide activities, including committee work and professional development opportunities.
  • Stay current with developments in the field of dental hygiene and incorporate best practices into teaching and curriculum development.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement innovative teaching methods and materials.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in dental hygiene or a related field.
  • Current licensure to practice dental hygiene in the State of Texas or ability to obtain licensure upon employment.
  • At least one year of college-level teaching experience or three years of related work experience in dental hygiene.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, colleagues, and community partners.
