We are seeking a highly qualified Dental Hygiene Instructor to join our team at Houston Community College. As an Adjunct Faculty Member, you will be responsible for teaching clinical courses and contributing to the educational environment of the college and the community.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, develop, and teach courses within the curriculum in a manner that facilitates student learning and prepares students for employment and licensure in the Dental Hygiene profession.
- Teach a maximum load of contact hours each semester in area(s) of competency and participate as a part-time instructor in the activities of the department, division, and college.
- Evaluate students to measure their progress toward achievement of stated course objectives/learning outcomes and inform them of their progress in a timely manner.
- Keep accurate student records and submit related reports and forms within requested timelines.
- Participate in the evaluation process for self, department, and college.
- Bachelor's degree or higher required.
- Must be a graduate of a Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA) program.
- Must be a Registered Dental Hygienist with a license in good standing to practice dental hygiene in the State of Texas or be able to obtain a license to practice Dental Hygiene in Texas upon employment.
- 1 year college level teaching experience or 3 years related work experience required.
