Key Responsibilities- CNC Machine Operation: Manage the operation of multiple CNC mills, adapting to production needs and prioritizing tasks effectively.
- Quality Control: Conduct thorough inspections of machined parts using established checklists and quality control diagrams. Address any discrepancies and communicate issues to supervisors as necessary.
- Maintenance: Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas and machines. Perform minor maintenance tasks, including checking coolant levels and lubricating moving parts.
- Parts Accountability: Accurately log production data, including counts of produced parts and scrap, ensuring reliable records for management review.
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with team members to support various tasks and contribute to overall operational efficiency.
- Strong understanding of CNC milling principles and operations.
- Experience with CNC machine maintenance and basic troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with HAAS controls is advantageous.
- Proficient in measurement techniques using calipers and micrometers.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
- Experience with firearm components is preferred but not mandatory.
- Forklift operation experience is a plus; training will be provided.
- Must be able to pass drug and alcohol screenings.
- Standard 40-hour workweek, typically structured as four 10-hour shifts.
- Flexibility to work nights and weekends as required by production demands.
- Ability to work in varying temperatures, as climate control may be limited.
- Noise levels can be high; hearing and eye protection will be provided.
- Ability to lift and handle heavy materials, including chip cans and pallets.
- Capability to perform cleaning and maintenance tasks at heights.
- Physical stamina to engage in repetitive tasks and manage the demands of a manufacturing environment.
