POSITION SUMMARY

The Quality Technician plays a crucial role in implementing and maintaining the quality and food safety protocols at our farms. This position requires a solid understanding of our quality standards and involves conducting process audits, monitoring product quality, and performing shelf-life assessments. The Quality Technician will also be responsible for identifying and escalating any food safety or quality concerns, assisting in training initiatives, and supporting corrective action implementations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure adherence to food safety and quality standards on a daily basis.
  • Assess and document the effectiveness of cleaning and sanitation processes prior to operations.
  • Monitor product quality at various stages, including harvesting, mixing, and packaging.
  • Collect environmental and product samples as per established schedules.
  • Conduct shelf-life evaluations in accordance with set timelines.
  • Calibrate and verify food safety and quality monitoring equipment.
  • Oversee the execution of corrective actions and ensure compliance with food safety regulations.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives as required.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in food handling or processing.
  • Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) principles.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong analytical mindset.
  • Proficient in using computer systems and software.
  • Degree or relevant experience in Agriculture, Food Science, or Chemistry is preferred.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Repetitive tasks throughout the shift.
  • Extended periods of standing or walking.
  • Physical activities including crouching, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Exposure to cooler temperatures in specific areas of the facility.
