About Us: LPL Solar is a leading solar engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) company focused on building large-scale solar projects for utility companies and independent power producers.

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team as a Solar Design Specialist. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing the electrical design process, optimizing solar design, and supporting the construction process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the electrical design process in conjunction with the project management and project operations teams.
  • Optimize solar design to ensure maximum efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Support the construction process through RFI and communication with manufacturers.
  • Collaborate with the estimating team to ensure accurate project estimates.
  • Review and approve electrical plans, one-line diagrams, and PPA reviews.
  • Coordinate compliance at interconnection points and review operation and maintenance manuals.
  • Experience with PVsyst and reviewing EOR PVsyst output is highly desirable.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in utility-scale solar design.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and PV Case experience.
  • Experience reviewing electrical plans from 10% to IFC sets.
  • Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles and solar design.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • BESS design experience.
  • BS in Electrical Engineering.
