Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing and producing CAD plans for lighting and ITS disciplines, with a minimum of five years of experience in the Transportation Industry.

Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of electrical engineering projects.
  • Proposal Preparation: Develop and submit proposals to clients, highlighting our expertise and capabilities.
  • Technical Coordination: Collaborate with clients, prime consultants, and external stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Quality Traffic Design: Design and implement lighting, ITS, and electrical systems for transportation infrastructure projects.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Prepare and submit technical reports, including Lighting Design Analysis Reports, Power Design Analysis Reports, and Lighting Justification Reports.
  • Quality Assurance/Quality Control: Ensure the quality of all staff deliverables and perform quality assurance/quality control checks.
  • Training and Development: Participate in training opportunities, such as FDOT Design & Specifications, IMSA Level 1, IMSA Level 2, Advanced MOT, NFPA, IEEE, and IES.
  • Supervision: Mentor junior staff members and supervise technical staff.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering required.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
  • Minimum of five years of experience designing and producing CAD plans for lighting and ITS disciplines.
  • Proficiency in software such as MicroStation, Geopak, and AutoCAD.
  • Experience managing lighting projects in the Transportation Industry for clients such as FDOT, MDX, MDC, CFX, or other tolling agencies.
  • Experience in ORD / FDOTConnect.
  • Familiarity with the NEC and NESC.
