Job Summary: Universal Engineering Sciences is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our Building Inspection Department. As an Electrical Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and compliance of electrical installations and systems. Key Responsibilities: * Conduct thorough inspections at various project milestones to verify adherence to design specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements. * Verify electrical installations comply with design plans, codes, and safety standards. * Document and report inspection findings, highlighting any discrepancies or issues. * Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to address and resolve identified issues. * Ensure all work is performed in compliance with relevant regulations and standards. * Provide technical guidance and support to project teams regarding electrical systems and inspections. * Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and best practices. * Assist in the development and implementation of inspection protocols and procedures. Requirements: * Valid Florida Driver's License with an acceptable driving record. * Ability to pass a background check screening in accordance with Florida's Jessica Lunsford Act. * Ability to read and write, and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. * Knowledge of written communication formats and composition, including grammar and vocabulary. * Ability to present to one or more people, including customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. * Ability to speak effectively with colleagues, supervisors, and customers/clients. * Computer skills sufficient to operate a laptop and cell phone, including sending and receiving emails, prepare and present PowerPoint Presentations, and learn Deltek Vision, SAP Concur, and CRM software. * Mathematical skills sufficient to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. * Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw or create, and interpret, bar graphs. * Reasoning ability to handle multiple and changing priorities concurrently. * Ability to work with problems and deal with a variety of variables. * Ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. * Ability to effectively communicate about products, services, and technical requirements to both the client/customer and employees within UES. Preferred Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering. * Professional Engineer (PE) license. * Previous experience in the A/E/C industry. * Strong knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and regulations. * Understands milestone inspections. * Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. * Detail-oriented with strong documentation and reporting abilities. * Effective communication and interpersonal skills. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Proficiency in relevant software and tools.
