Program Coordinator for Graduate Studies in Art and Art History

As a key member of the Department of Art and Art History, the Graduate Program Coordinator will oversee the administration of the MFA program in Studio Art, MA in Art Education, and MA and PhD in Art History.

The successful candidate will provide expert guidance and support to current students and faculty, as well as prospective students, on institutional and graduate program rules, regulations, and procedures.

Responsibilities will include administering PhD qualifying exams and departmental language exams, assisting with registration processes, and serving as the primary liaison between the department and prospective students.

The Graduate Program Coordinator will work closely with the Graduate Admissions office to manage the application process for the graduate programs, maintain a database of applicant information, and prepare files for committee review.

Additionally, the successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining files of accepted graduate students, developing and sending welcome letters and orientation materials, and managing the department's TA and grader application and appointment processes.

Strong organizational and communication skills are essential for this role, as is the ability to work effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
