Position Overview:
The Registered Dietitian will play a crucial role in delivering clinical nutrition services under the guidance of the Director of Clinical Nutrition Services. This position focuses on both adult and adolescent care within our inpatient facility.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct thorough Nutrition Assessments for newly admitted patients within 48 hours of their arrival.
2. Perform follow-up Nutrition Assessments twice a week.
3. Develop tailored meal plans that align with the nutritional goals of each patient, adhering to the philosophy of San Domenico School.
4. Collaborate with patients and their support systems to ensure adherence to meal plans.
5. Facilitate individual and group nutritional therapy sessions.
6. Engage in treatment team planning and discharge processes.
7. Provide educational resources to families and caregivers.
8. Maintain ongoing communication regarding patient progress with all stakeholders involved in their care.

Qualifications:
Education:
A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Nutrition or a related field is required; a Master's Degree is preferred.

Experience:
Experience in providing nutritional care within an Eating Disorder Program or Mental Health setting is preferred. Proficiency in menu planning and therapeutic diets in a healthcare context is essential.

Licensure/Certification:
Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) certification from the Commission on Dietetic Registration is required. A Licensed Dietitian in the state of Massachusetts is also necessary.

Knowledge and Skills:
- Expertise in medical nutrition therapy
- Familiarity with motivational interviewing techniques
- Understanding of the nutrition care process and counseling
- Experience in group education settings
- Knowledge of therapeutic modalities such as Family-Based Therapy (FBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

Competencies:
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Attention to detail with the ability to prioritize tasks independently
- Capability to manage multiple responsibilities in a dynamic environment
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills.

Supervision:
Regular supervision will be provided through group and individual sessions with the Director of Clinical Nutrition and senior staff.
