Customer Engagement Opportunity

Otsuka America Pharmaceutical, Inc. is seeking a skilled professional to join our team as a Health Science Advisor. In this role, you will play a critical part in our customer engagement approach, designed to deliver a higher quality experience for patients, caregivers, and healthcare providers.

The ecosystem approach creates a unified focus among account management, medical, patient access, and market access to engage local healthcare systems and identify opportunities to improve the patient experience. Through this matrix model, customers will experience more coordinated and seamless care with digital-enabled support to bridge care gaps.

As a Health Science Advisor, you will engage healthcare providers through a variety of in-person, virtual, and digital tools, offering expanded expertise regarding products and approved conditions. You will also work closely with Clinical and Scientific Specialists to provide deep clinical expertise on-demand and engage healthcare providers to offer personalized education on disease state, thought leadership, and real-world evidence.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of pharmaceutical or medical device sales experience and reside within commutable distance of 50 miles of the primary city in the sales territory. Previous cross-functional industry experience in commercial life sciences or related industry engaging with key healthcare ecosystem players is highly valued.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct proactive outreach to HCPs on topics such as product access, on-label information, established guidance on patient care, and ability to connect providers in real time to on-demand CSSs.
  • Personally engage customers through a variety of virtual or digital tools and direct customers to other colleagues on demand.
  • Facilitate speaker programs, organize local provider groups for discussions on experiences and outcomes with local/regional leaders.
  • Elevate opportunities and feedback to ecosystem lead, including local market insights to inform setting of local strategy and business goals.
