Job Summary

The Training and Development Specialist will be responsible for providing onboarding and training to all staff members at Old Pueblo Community Services. This includes facilitating in-person onboarding for new hires, supporting individuals with self-paced work, and administering technology assessments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in social services, experience working with homeless populations, and proficiency in evidence-based practices. Additionally, they will be able to communicate effectively with supervisors and provide feedback on training and development efforts.

Key Responsibilities

• Facilitate in-person onboarding for all new hires
• Support individuals with self-paced work and administer technology assessments
• Communicate with supervisors on training progress and competency levels
• Provide one-on-one direct service training as requested
• Maintain accurate training documentation and records
• Ensure OPCS compliance with required training

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in social services or equivalent experience
• Competence in providing direct services for homeless populations
• Ability to use and teach evidence-based practices
• Strong communication, administrative, and interpersonal skills
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills
• Valid Arizona driver's license and reliable transportation
