Job Summary

The Speech Language Pathologist or Speech Language Pathology Specialist will work with students who have identified speech and language disorders, providing assessment, treatment, and support to help them develop pre-language and language skills, oral-motor control for speech production, and use of assistive technology devices for communication.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Speech Pathology and be certified as a Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) through the Arizona Department of Health Services. They will also have the ability to pass a background check and have a Defensive Driver Training Program certification.

The Speech Language Pathologist or Speech Language Pathology Specialist will work under the direction of a supervising Speech Language Pathologist, assisting with assessments, preparing materials, and performing clerical duties. They will also be responsible for maintaining student records, tallying data, and preparing charts, records, graphs, and reports.

Responsibilities

* Conduct speech and language screenings and assessments
* Develop and implement treatment plans to help students develop pre-language and language skills, oral-motor control for speech production, and use of assistive technology devices for communication
* Work with students who have identified speech and language disorders, providing individualized support and accommodations as needed
* Collaborate with other professionals, such as teachers and occupational therapists, to provide comprehensive support to students
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress and treatment plans

Requirements

* Bachelor's Degree in Speech Pathology
* SLPA Certification through Arizona Department of Health Services
* Ability to pass background check and Defensive Driver Training Program certification
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work with students who have identified speech and language disorders
