Position SummaryWe are seeking a remote employee to assist in conducting hotel pricing analysis by engaging with hotels as a prospective event planner. The collected data will be meticulously entered into our reporting spreadsheets. These reports vary in complexity, ranging from basic rate comparisons to comprehensive analyses of numerous pricing options across various venues within a hotel. In this role, you will collaborate with your project supervisor to ensure timely completion of assigned tasks based on project demands.

The ideal candidate will possess experience in the event planning sector, providing a solid foundation for understanding the information being researched. While experience in data management or proofreading is advantageous, it is not mandatory. A keen eye for detail is essential, as many reports may contain extensive individual entries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engaging with hotels through phone, email, and online requests, impersonating an event planner or other potential client. This may require multiple inquiries and adopting various personas to gather complete information for your report. Preparation for each interaction is crucial, including researching the hotel and its surroundings.
  • Accurately inputting all gathered information into our Excel reporting templates, adhering to our standards for data selection, formatting, and length.
  • Promptly addressing follow-up inquiries regarding your report and making necessary adjustments.
  • Effectively managing your time and workload to balance multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Participating in all training sessions provided to enhance your skills and improve the quality of our deliverables.
Compensation and Workload
This position operates on a project basis, meaning your weekly hours will depend on the number of projects undertaken and their completion speed. Generally, the expectation is to work approximately hours per week. Compensation is project-based, typically ranging from $2000 to $2500 monthly (approximately $500 weekly), with experienced team members handling a higher project load potentially earning up to $3000 monthly. The volume of incoming projects may fluctuate throughout the year based on client demand, with lower activity often observed during specific periods. The company may consider retention bonuses during significant drops in project load.
