Act as the primary liaison for designated commercial insurance accounts. Cultivate and sustain strong relationships with clients, gaining insight into their business requirements and insurance needs. Conduct regular meetings to assess coverage, address concerns, and provide updates on policy modifications. - Policy Administration:
Manage the administration of commercial insurance policies, including renewals, endorsements, and cancellations. Ensure the timely and precise processing of policy documents, certificates of insurance, and related paperwork. Monitor policy expirations to guarantee uninterrupted coverage for clients. - New Business Development:
Support the creation and presentation of new business proposals to potential clients. Collaborate with producers and account executives to identify and pursue new business prospects. Engage in networking events and industry conferences to enhance and maintain a strong professional network. - Risk Evaluation and Coverage Placement:
Assess clients' insurance needs and risk exposures to recommend suitable coverage options. Collaborate with underwriters to negotiate and secure coverage with insurance carriers. Ensure clients are adequately protected and that policies are competitively priced. - Customer Service Excellence:
Deliver prompt and professional responses to client inquiries and requests. Manage claims reporting and follow-up, ensuring clients receive timely and equitable resolution of their claims. Address and resolve any client issues or complaints promptly and satisfactorily. - Compliance and Documentation:
Maintain accurate and current client files and documentation. Ensure adherence to industry regulations and company policies. Stay updated on changes in insurance laws and regulations that may impact clients.
Qualifications:
- Education and Experience:
A bachelor’s degree in business, finance, insurance, or a related field is preferred. A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in commercial insurance account management or a similar capacity. A valid insurance license (CIC, CISR, CPCU, or similar certification is preferred). - Skills and Competencies:
In-depth knowledge of commercial insurance products, coverage options, and industry practices. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to foster and maintain client relationships. Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail. Proficiency in insurance management software and Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team. Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Working Conditions:
This is a full-time position, typically Monday through Friday. Occasional travel may be necessary for client meetings, industry events, and training. The role is based in an office environment with potential for remote work flexibility.
