As an Account Executive Officer at Travelers Insurance, you will play a critical role in driving business growth and profitability by partnering with agents and brokers to provide property, general liability, commercial auto, and/or workers' compensation coverage to mid-size businesses.
Key Responsibilities- Manage a book of business to ensure profitability, growth, and retention.
- Underwrite and negotiate complex customer accounts to minimize risk and maximize profitability.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with internal and external partners to create sales plans and identify cross-selling opportunities.
- Foster relationships with agents and brokers to market and sell Travelers products, with a focus on writing and retaining accounts consistent with our risk appetite.
- Identify and capture new business opportunities using consultative marketing and sales skills.
- Develop and execute agency sales plans, partnering with the Managing Director to develop region/group sales plans.
- May assist in training and mentoring less experienced Account Executives.
- Bachelor's degree.
- 6-8 years of relevant underwriting experience, with a focus on commercial lines.
- Deep knowledge of commercial lines products, regulatory environments, and local insurance markets.
- Strong critical thinking skills, with the ability to analyze information and make timely decisions in alignment with our risk appetite.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to negotiate effectively with agents and brokers.
- CPCU designation.
