Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a book of business to ensure profitability, growth, and retention.
  • Underwrite and negotiate complex customer accounts to minimize risk and maximize profitability.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with internal and external partners to create sales plans and identify cross-selling opportunities.
  • Foster relationships with agents and brokers to market and sell Travelers products, with a focus on writing and retaining accounts consistent with our risk appetite.
  • Identify and capture new business opportunities using consultative marketing and sales skills.

  • May assist in training and mentoring less experienced Account Executives.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 6-8 years of relevant underwriting experience, with a focus on commercial lines.
  • Deep knowledge of commercial lines products, regulatory environments, and local insurance markets.
  • Strong critical thinking skills, with the ability to analyze information and make timely decisions in alignment with our risk appetite.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to negotiate effectively with agents and brokers.
  • CPCU designation.
