Position Overview:

The Senior Architectural Project Leader is responsible for overseeing the design development process, ensuring the production of high-quality technical drawings and specifications. This role involves coordinating with various disciplines and managing in-house construction administration for projects of significant size and complexity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage complex architectural projects, ensuring adherence to established timelines and budgets.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior staff, fostering a culture of learning and professional growth.
  • Define the essential parameters of design work, including compliance with codes, site limitations, and budgetary constraints.
  • Develop comprehensive project work plans based on approved scopes, leading the execution of assigned tasks.
  • Oversee the daily operations of the architectural project team, ensuring the technical quality of all construction documents.
  • Produce accurate schematic designs, design development, and construction documentation.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in architectural graphic standards and the organization of construction drawing sets.
  • Assist project management in maintaining project schedules and budgets, identifying scope changes and their implications.
  • Advise on staffing needs for projects, ensuring adequate resources are allocated.
  • Coordinate the efforts of the entire project team, facilitating effective communication among all disciplines and consultants.
  • Manage the production of construction documents and prepare necessary written communications related to architectural work.
  • Perform construction administration duties, including responding to requests for information (RFIs) and reviewing shop drawings.
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of company standards and contribute to the enhancement of architectural practices and tools.
  • Utilize Revit for model creation and project management, ensuring compliance with company protocols.
  • Engage with advanced technologies such as laser scanning and point cloud data.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Architecture or Architectural Engineering; Master's degree preferred.

Experience: Minimum of 15 years of relevant architectural experience.

Skills: Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and Microsoft Teams. Familiarity with BIM360 and point cloud software is advantageous.

Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong attention to detail.

Physical Requirements: Ability to perform essential job functions, including sitting, standing, and walking for extended periods.
