We are seeking an Electrical Project Engineering Manager to join our dynamic team. This role is essential for overseeing electrical projects and requires a blend of electrical expertise and project management skills, particularly in conveyor systems related to material handling, including power supply wiring, conduit installation, PLC programming, cabling, control panel construction, and testing.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Interpret blueprints, schematics, and equipment installation specifications.
  • Diagnose and repair malfunctioning equipment, including motors and scanners, and replace damaged wiring and cables.
  • Construct and finalize power cabinets with precision.
  • Test malfunctioning machinery to identify issues.
  • Replace defective electrical components, such as relays and switches.
  • Plan and install wiring, conduit, and electrical apparatus throughout the facility.
  • Ensure compliance of all panels, wiring, and assembly practices with electrical schematics and drawings.
  • Possess a strong understanding of the National Electrical Codes (NEC).
  • Oversee quality assurance related to job tasks.
  • Adhere to safety protocols, including lock-out/tag-out procedures, and report safety concerns.
  • Diagnose and repair or replace faulty electronic components, including printed circuit boards.
  • Lead and coordinate complex programs and projects by developing comprehensive project plans to achieve objectives within set timeframes and budgets.
  • Maintain visibility for project teams by monitoring and reporting on business objectives and key performance indicators, while proactively communicating with stakeholders.
  • Collaborate on innovative solutions to project challenges and guide teams to overcome obstacles.
  • Identify best practices and implement necessary process improvements to enhance project design efficiency.
  • Inspire team members to embrace new processes and improvements based on project evaluations.
  • Manage multiple projects and work orders in alignment with the company’s production schedule.
  • Supervise the workflow and tasks of electrical staff.
  • Coordinate with Electrical Engineering to ensure compliance with the latest designs.
  • Document design and material issues for corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with Mechanical manufacturing managers and production control.
  • Organize materials for various projects in coordination with staging coordinators.
  • Review and manage labor reports to ensure timely completion of work orders.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associate's degree or higher in Business, Engineering, or relevant electrical trade certifications.
  • 5+ years of experience in managing electrical projects in a leadership capacity within a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret ANSI industrial wiring diagrams and schematics.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse workforce.
  • Proficient in using MRP systems (SysPro) and Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, MS Project).
  • Flexibility to work additional hours as needed to meet project deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Effective team collaboration skills.
  • Clear and concise verbal and written communication.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions independently.
  • PMP Certification or relevant coursework is preferred.
