Job Title: Executive Director

McPherson Berry & Associates, Inc. is seeking a visionary and strategic leader to serve as the Executive Director of Community Connections. This dynamic non-profit organization is dedicated to supporting Georgia's children in foster care by providing comprehensive services and transformative partnerships with families and the larger community.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide strategic leadership to advance the mission and goals of the organization.
  • Develop and implement annual strategic plans that align with the organization's vision, goals, and overall budget.
  • Inspire and motivate staff, volunteers, and community partners to achieve the organization's objectives.
  • Lead fundraising efforts to secure financial support from individuals, corporations, foundations, and government sources.
  • Build and cultivate relationships with key donors, sponsors, community leaders, stakeholders, and partners to facilitate the success of the organization's financial future.
  • Maintain a climate that attracts and retains a talented and diverse staff.
  • Oversee grant writing and reporting processes to ensure compliance and successful funding outcomes.
  • Oversee the development, implementation, and evaluation of programs and services that meet community needs, delivered effectively, efficiently, and with high-quality standards.
  • Foster innovation and creativity in program development to address emerging community issues.
  • Develop and manage the organization's budget in collaboration with the Board of Directors and finance team to ensure financial stability and sustainability.
  • Oversee operational functions, including human resources, technology, and facilities management.
  • Represent the organization in public forums, media, and community events.
  • Advocate for policies and initiatives that support the organization's mission and community needs.
  • Work closely with the Board of Directors to develop and implement organizational policies and strategies.
Qualifications:
  • Previous management or board of director experience.
  • Successful fundraising and development experience.
  • Experience in large-scale program development.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in nonprofit management, public administration, social work, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of senior leadership experience in a nonprofit organization or related field.
  • Proven experience in fundraising, resource development, and financial management.
